این عبارت مثل یه دستورالعمل برای این می‌مونه که چی رو درست نکنی.

اشتباه، اشتباه رو درست نمی‌کنه

Did you hear the news about Helen?

خبر هلن رو شنیدی؟

No, what happened?

نه، چی شد؟

She was fired for stealing from the company.

اون به خاطر دزدی از شرکت اخراج شد.

What? Helen doesn’t seem like the kind of person who would do that.

چی؟ هلن به نظر آدمی نمیاد که همچین کاری بکنه.

Well, she said that her boss had been stealing from the company for years. So she thought it was okay.

خب، اون گفت رئیسش سال‌ها بود که از شرکت می‌دزده. برای همین فکر کرد اشکالی نداره.

Well, two wrongs do not make a right.

خب، اشتباه دیگران رو با اشتباه خودت جبران نمی‌شه.

In multiplication, two negative numbers make a positive.

تو ضرب، دو عدد منفی یه عدد مثبت می‌شه.

But it does not work that way in life.

اما تو زندگی اینجوری کار نمی‌کنه.

Doing something bad as an answer to another person doing something bad, usually just makes things worse.

انجام یه کار بد در پاسخ به کار بد شخص دیگه، معمولاً اوضاع رو بدتر می‌کنه.

When that happens, you can say, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.”

وقتی این اتفاق بیفته، می‌تونی بگی: «اشتباه، اشتباه رو درست نمی‌کنه.»
