Money can fix many things.

پول می‌تونه خیلی چیزها رو درست کنه.

But this sounds wasteful.

اما این به نظر اسراف میاد.

My friend is so upset. Her son is failing school.

دوستم خیلی ناراحته. پسرش تو مدرسه داره مردود می‌شه.

Oh boy. What is she doing about it?

اوه پسر. داره چیکار می‌کنه براش؟

Well, she bought him a new computer, a bunch of educational games, and therapy, you know, to help him with his fear of tests.

خب، براش یه کامپیوتر جدید خرید، یه مشت بازی آموزشی، و تراپی، می‌دونی، برای کمک به ترسش از امتحان.

Sounds like she is just throwing money at the problem.

به نظر میاد فقط داره پول می‌ریزه پای مشکل.

Maybe the kid just needs to study more?

شاید بچه فقط باید بیشتر درس بخونه؟

If something breaks in your house, you can pay someone to fix it.

اگه چیزی تو خونت خراب بشه، می‌تونی به کسی پول بدی تا درستش کنه.

If you have a health problem, you can pay a doctor to help you.

اگه مشکل سلامتی داشته باشی، می‌تونی به دکتر پول بدی تا کمکت کنه.

But it can’t fix everything.

اما پول نمی‌تونه همه چیز رو درست کنه.

To “throw money at a problem” means to spend a lot of money instead of trying other methods.

«Throw money at a problem» یعنی به جای امتحان کردن روش‌های دیگه، کلی پول خرج کردن.
