    Frenhofer was the best artist in the world.فرنهوفر بهترین هنرمند جهان بود.
    Everyone loved him.همه او را دوست داشتند.
    The quality of his paintings was very high.کیفیت نقاشی‌هایش بسیار بالا بود.
    He always used the best materials.همیشه از بهترین مواد استفاده می‌کرد.
    He made a big profit from his paintings.او از نقاشی‌هایش سود زیادی کسب کرد.
    He had delicious meals with his rich neighbors.وعده‌های غذایی خوشمزه‌ای با همسایگان ثروتمندش می‌خورد.
    He taught art classes.او کلاس‌های هنری را تدریس می‌کرد.
    Life was good.زندگی خوب بود.
    Then his attitude changed.سپس رفتارش تغییر کرد.
    He stopped selling paintings and teaching.فروش نقاشی و تدریس را متوقف کرد.
    He tried a new method of painting.روش جدیدی را برای نقاشی امتحان کرد.
    He stayed alone in his apartment all day.تمام روز را در آپارتمان خود تنها می‌ماند.
    He worked all day and all night, rarely eating.تمام شب و روز کار می‌کرد، به‌ندرت غذا می‌خورد.
    Soon Frenhofer became very thin.زود فرنهوفر بسیار لاغر شد.
    But he kept working on the same painting for many years.اما سال‌ها روی همان نقاشی کار کرد.
    He worked as hard as he could.تا آنجا که می‌توانست کار کرد.
    Finally, he finished the painting.سرانجام، نقاشی را تمام کرد.
    He was very happy and invited other artists to see it.او بسیار خوشحال بود و از دیگر هنرمندان دعوت کرد تا آن را ببینند.
    “I want your professional opinion,” he said.او گفت: «من نظر حرفه‌ای شما را می‌خواهم.»
    He wanted them to judge it and compare it to other paintings.می‌خواست آن را قضاوت کنند و با نقاشی‌های دیگر مقایسه کنند.
    Everyone was very excited as they went up the stairs to his apartment.همه وقتی از پله‌های آپارتمان او بالا می‌رفتند بسیار هیجان‌زده بودند.
    Frenhofer was excited to show his painting, and the artists were excited to see it.فرنهوفر از نشان دادن نقاشی‌اش هیجان‌زده بود و هنرمندان از دیدن آن هیجان‌زده بودند.
    “They’ll love it,” he thought.با خود فکر کرد: «عاشقش می‌شوند.»
    But they did not.اما نشدند.
    They were surprised by his painting.آن‌ها از نقاشی‌اش متعجب شدند.
    There was no white anywhere.هیچ جایی سفید نبود.
    Frenhofer filled the whole painting with lines and colors.فرنهوفر تمام نقاشی را پر از خط و رنگ کرد.
    There was no space for a normal picture.جایی برای تصویر معمولی‌ای نبود.
    It was full of strange shapes.پر از اشکال عجیب بود.
    It looked bad to the other artists.از نظر دیگر هنرمندان بد به نظر می‌رسید.
    He used symbols, and they didn’t understand them.او از نمادهایی استفاده کرده بود و بقیه آن‌ها را درک نکردند.
    They thought it was terrible.آن‌ها فکر کردند که افتضاح است.
    “Why did you paint this strange picture?” someone asked.شخصی پرسید: «چرا این تصویر عجیب را نقاشی کردی؟»
    They didn’t understand its beauty.آن‌ها زیبایی آن را درک نکردند.
    But after some time, many people began to like his painting.اما بعد از مدتی، بسیاری از مردم نقاشی او را دوست داشتند.
    People wrote articles about it in magazines.مردم درباره‌ی آن در مجلات مقاله می‌نوشتند.
    They said it was his best work.می‌گفتند این بهترین کار او بود.
    They loved his strange symbols.آن‌ها نمادهای عجیب او را دوست داشتند.
    They loved his strange colors.رنگ‌های عجیب او را دوست داشتند.
    Frenhofer’s painting reminded everyone that just because something was new didn’t mean that it was bad.نقاشی فرنهوفر به همه یادآوری کرد که جدید بودن چیزی به‌معنای بد بودن آن نیست.
    He also helped them to realize that sometimes it takes people a little time to understand great things.او همچنین به آن‌ها کمک کرد تا دریابند که بعضی اوقات برای درک چیزهای بزرگ کمی وقت لازم است.
