The Camp
اردوگاه
Stacie wanted to stay at a nice hotel for vacation.
استیسی میخواست برای تعطیلات در هتلی زیبا اقامت کند.
But her parents sent her to a terrible camp instead.
اما والدینش در عوض او را به اردوگاهی وحشتناک فرستادند.
For breakfast, Stacie liked fresh juice and chocolate milk, but she got water at the camp.
برای صبحانه، استیسی آبمیوهی تازه و شیرشکلات دوست داشت، اما در اردوگاه آب گرفت.
In the afternoon she wanted to write poems, but she had to swim.
بعدازظهر، میخواست شعر بنویسد، اما مجبور شد شنا کند.
The camp was near an airport with loud planes.
این اردوگاه نزدیک فرودگاه هواپیمایی با هواپیماهایی با صداهای بلند بود.
Spiderwebs hung over her bed.
تار عنکبوت بالای تختش آویزان بود.
To her, the kids‘ average behavior was very bad.
از نظر او، رفتار عادی بچهها خیلی بد بود.
No girl matched her personality.
هیچ دختری با شخصیت او مطابقت نداشت.
She hated it.
از این متنفر بود.
One day, they had a class.
یک روز، آنها کلاس داشتند.
Mental exercise sounded good to Stacie.
ورزش ذهنی برای استیسی خوب به نظر میرسید.
But it was a course on water safety.
اما این دورهای دربارهی ایمنی آب بود.
They learned how to be safe passengers on a boat.
آنها یاد گرفتند که چگونه مسافران ایمن در یک قایق باشند.
Stacie didn’t ever plan to go on a boat.
استیسی هرگز قصد نداشت با قایق برود.
The next day, they played a game.
روز بعد، آنها یک بازی انجام دادند.
There was a red team and a blue team.
یک تیم قرمز بود و یک تیم آبی.
Stacie was on the blue team.
استیسی در تیم آبی بود.
Each team had to try to remove the other team‘s flag from a pole.
هر تیم باید سعی میکرد پرچم تیم دیگر را از روی یک تیر حذف کند.
They also had to use water guns.
همچنین باید از تفنگ آبی استفاده میکردند.
“I‘m not much of an athlete,” she said.

But she still had to play.

Stacie took a water gun and looked for somewhere to hide.
استیسی یک تفنگ آب برداشت و به دنبال جایی برای پنهان شدن گشت.
A boy said, “Stacie, you advance to the middle.
پسری گفت: «استیسی، تو به وسط پیش برو.
I will go right.
من میرم سمت راست.
Those two will go left.
اون دو تا میرن سمت چپ.
Stacie still didn’t want to play.
استیسی هنوز نمیخواست بازی کند.
She walked into the forest and saw a red team player coming.
او وارد جنگل شد و دید که یک بازیکن تیم قرمز در حال آمدن است.
Stacie hid behind a tree and then jumped out and shot the other player.
استیسی پشت درخت پنهان شد و سپس پرید بیرون و به بازیکن دیگر شلیک کرد.
“This is fun” Stacie thought.

Several minutes after moving further, Stacie saw the red flag.
چند دقیقه بعد از حرکت بیشتر، استیسی پرچم قرمز را دید.
A red team member was watching over it.
یکی از اعضای تیم قرمز مراقب آن بود.
She shot him with her water gun.
با تفنگ آبیاش به او شلیک کرد.
Then she lowered the flag and ran back to her team.
سپس پرچم را پایین آورد و به طرف تیم خود برگشت.
“I got it” she said.
او گفت: «گرفتمش».
The blue team won!
تیم آبی برنده شد!
Stacie was the hero.
استیسی قهرمان بود.
For the rest of the week, Stacie had fun.
استیسی بقیهی هفته لذت میبرد.
She even made new friends.
حتی دوستان جدیدی پیدا کرد.
