A horn is any kind of musical instrument made of a tube that is usually metal.

«Horn» هر نوع ساز موسیقیه که از یه لوله ساخته شده و معمولاً فلزیه.

You blow in it to make sound.

توش می‌دمی تا صدا تولید کنی.

How did your music competition go last week?

مسابقه‌ی موسیقی هفته‌ی پیشت چطور بود؟

Oh, I don’t like to blow my own horn, but I did pretty great!

آه، من دوست ندارم از خودم تعریف کنم، اما خیلی خوب کار کردم!

I mean, I won.

یعنی، برنده شدم.

That’s a huge deal! Why didn’t you say something earlier?

این که خیلی مهمه! چرا زودتر نگفتی؟

I didn’t want to brag …

نمی‌خواستم لاف بزنم…

Come on. Yes, you did.

بی‌خیال. چرا، بله گفتی.

If someone “blows their own horn” they talk about their own successes and skills.

اگه کسی «blow their own horn» کنه، یعنی از موفقیت‌ها و مهارت‌های خودش حرف می‌زنه.

In other words, they brag.

به عبارت دیگه، لاف می‌زنه.

You can also say “toot your own horn” which means the same thing.

می‌تونید به جای اون بگید «toot your own horn» که همون معنی رو می‌ده.

Jonathan says he doesn’t like to blow his own horn.

جاناتان می‌گه دوست نداره از خودش تعریف کنه.

But he sure likes to play it!

اما مطمئناً دوست داره بزندش!
