A toss is when something is thrown lightly in the air. Like this.

«Toss» وقتیه که چیزی رو به آرومی تو هوا پرت می‌کنن. اینجوری.

So Jonathan, who do you think is going to win the big football game tomorrow?

خب جاناتان، به نظرت کی قراره بازی بزرگ فوتبال فردا رو ببره؟

OH, I don’t know. It’s a toss-up really.

آه، نمی‌دونم. واقعاً شانسش پنجاه‌پنجاهه.

Orlando has a great offense, but Baltimore has a great defense.

اورلاندو حمله‌ش عالیه، اما بالتیمور دفاعش عالیه.

Either team could win.

هر کدوم از تیم‌ها می‌تونن برنده بشن.

Wow. You seem to actually know something about these teams.

واو. انگار واقعاً از این تیم‌ها چیزی می‌دونی.

We use the expression “toss-up” to describe a situation where the result is unclear and could go either way.

ما از عبارت «toss-up» استفاده می‌کنیم برای موقعیتی که نتیجه‌ش نامشخصه و می‌تونه به هر سمتی بره.

It refers to the actual tossing of a coin, and making a decision based on that.

این اشاره به پرتاب واقعی سکه داره و تصمیم‌گیری بر اساس اون.
